Job Summary

Senior Cost Engineer responsible for cost control across multiple projects in the Energy & Natural Resources sector. Lead on cost data collection, budgeting, accruals, forecasts, and performance reporting, ensuring alignment with PMB, WBS/CBS structures, and NEC/FIDIC contract requirements. Collaborate with integrated project teams, influence stakeholders, and drive cost accuracy to meet time and cost targets within a nuclear-oriented, energy projects portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead cost control across multiple projects or a single highly complex programme, ensuring alignment of time, cost, risk, change, and scope.
•Develop and maintain robust cost controls and reports to provide clients with accurate data for management decisions.
•Create and map cost estimates to WBS/CBS, set budgets, and ensure purchase orders and work orders align with control accounts.
•Provide cost information to support change notes, forecasts, and ETCs; drive accruals and accurate reflection of Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP).
•Engage with management/leadership to communicate updates on cost control within a complex project environment and mentor delivery teams.

Key Requirements

•Professional Project Controls experience focusing on Cost Engineering/Control across project lifecycles; nuclear experience is desirable but not required.
•Detailed understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), progress reporting, forecasting, and performance reporting and analysis.
•Strong communication and leadership abilities with the capacity to influence, motivate, and develop teams in diverse environments.
•Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance and membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., APM, PMI).
•Experience leading Cost Control Assurance activities and coordinating with Scheduling, Risk, Reporting, and Change Control domains.
