Build the next-generation accelerator programming model for NVIDIA’s Programmable Vision Accelerator (PVA), bridging research and production systems software. Key Responsibilities

•Develop the next-generation PVA programming model to help developers and AI coding agents build optimized algorithms for PVA.
•Create agent-accessible declarative interfaces that abstract hardware details and improve compile time, emulator speed, and diagnostics.
•Help define the architecture and feature set for the PVA SDK, runtime APIs, and programming model.
•Develop benchmarks and evaluations for agent-generated PVA code to improve compiler optimizations and diagnostics.
•Develop and improve the LLVM-based VPU compiler backend targeting the VLIW/SIMD architecture and integrate PVA workloads into CUDA-based heterogeneous pipelines.

Key Requirements

•BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
•10+ years building high-performance, low-level systems software, accelerator software, embedded software, or compiler/toolchain infrastructure.
•Experience building higher-level programming abstractions, DSLs, or compiler IRs that abstract hardware while preserving performance.
•Experience developing compiler/debugger/linker/toolchain components, particularly with LLVM.
•Experience developing code with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI, and inference SDKs) and integrating toolchains with agentic harnesses.
