Job Summary

Senior Town Planner with expertise in infrastructure planning and consenting processes (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs) across major UK projects. You’ll lead town planning inputs, coordinate consent applications, advise clients, negotiate with authorities, and work within multi-disciplinary teams to secure approvals for nationally significant infrastructure in energy, transport, water and nuclear sectors.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide and take responsibility for town planning or consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs, etc).
•Provide technical advice to clients and support managing consenting requirements to meet client expectations.
•Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications under relevant Town and Country Planning Acts and Planning Act 2008.
•Negotiate with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
•Engage with multidisciplinary teams, supporting and supervising others in project delivery.

Key Requirements

•Degree in town planning (or equivalent).
•Member of (or eligible for) RTPI.
•Experience supporting town planning and consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs, etc).
•Ability to coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications under Town and Country Planning Acts, Planning Act 2008 or similar regimes.
•Experience negotiating with statutory bodies and stakeholders, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
