Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop ingestion components to validate landed policy data in S3, including file, event, schema, completeness, and business-rule validation.
  • •Build Lambda and SQS processing patterns with batching, ordering where required, retries, dead-letter handling, replay, and duplicate-event protection.
  • •Implement transformations from policy feeds into the canonical Policy Master structure while preserving lineage and effective-dated history.
  • •Write optimized SQL and data-access logic to load Aurora PostgreSQL with referential integrity, transaction control, auditability, and high-throughput processing.
  • •Instrument pipelines with structured logging, metrics, alerts, trace/correlation IDs, operational dashboards, and support production readiness and incident resolution.

Key Requirements

  • •5–7 years of data-engineering or backend-engineering experience, including at least 3 years hands-on development on AWS.
  • •Strong hands-on experience with AWS S3, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and serverless integration patterns.
  • •Proficiency in Python; Java experience valuable, with strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL or Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.
  • •Experience building event-driven and batch ingestion pipelines with schema validation, transformations, canonical mappings, error handling, retries, dead-letter queues, replay, idempotency, and audit logging.
  • •Ability to develop with Git-based workflows, code review, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, and secure cloud engineering (least-privilege IAM, encryption, VPC integration, secrets management).
