Job Summary

Provide intellectual property legal support for content and business across the Nordics, partnering closely with creative, business, and legal teams. Advise productions and executives on IP and production clearance, identify and communicate IP-related risks, and support IP acquisition and development through production and distribution. Conduct chain of title research, handle clearance and enforcement matters, defend pre-litigation claims, and negotiate and draft production agreements.

Key Responsibilities

•Advise film and television productions and executives on intellectual property matters and production clearance across the Nordics.
•Identify, manage, and communicate IP-related risks (including copyright and defamation) to relevant stakeholders.
•Work with business and legal affairs teams to acquire and develop IP, guiding it through production and distribution.
•Conduct chain of title research, advise on title and production clearance, and support IP enforcement and pre-litigation claim defense.
•Collaborate with the litigation team on IP litigation matters and negotiate and draft agreements for production materials.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience as an IP lawyer in content or entertainment-related fields.
•Production clearance experience in film, television and/or similar.
•In-depth knowledge of IP law and personality rights in the Nordics and/or the EU, including copyright, moral rights, trademarks, fair dealing, privacy/publicity, defamation, and freedom of speech.
•Proven ability to manage and resolve IP disputes and handle complex copyright transactions and chain of title review.
•Fluency in English and a Nordic language; strong organizational, interpersonal communication, and analytical skills.
