Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for a variety of vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose and adjust mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues across systems such as engines, transmissions, steering, brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, and HVAC.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using tools and instruments; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Maintain parts inventory and company-issued service truck/equipment, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders per company standards, documenting work and uploading pictures using the company’s iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or equivalent combination such as additional degree/certification or 5 years related experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; provide a current DOT medical card with required remaining validity if applicable.
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older; safe driving required with a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
