Job Summary

Coach middle school math teachers by researching effective math instructional practices and providing content knowledge, resources, and guidance. Facilitate pilots of instructional materials and software implementations, monitor student progress through K12’s interactive lessons and assessments, and support reading intervention initiatives in grades K–5. Collect and review work samples, alert administrators to concerns, and maintain confidentiality while aligning instruction to state content standards and the K12 curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

•Research and provide content knowledge, resources, and guidance on effective and innovative math practices to support teachers with strategies, assessment techniques, and results interpretation.
•Coordinate and facilitate pilots of instructional materials and software implementations.
•Monitor student progress through K12’s interactive lessons and daily assessments.
•Coordinate and facilitate reading intervention initiatives for students in grades K–5.
•Collect and review work samples, alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress, and maintain confidentiality.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field of study.
•Five (5) years teaching experience.
•Two (2) years of successful coaching/mentoring experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Pedagogical knowledge of math content and ability to apply critical thinking, including aligning state content standards with the K12 curriculum.
•Ability to clear required background check and maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
