Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage civil work at substation and transmission line sites to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • •Create and supervise earthwork, grading, drainage systems, access roads, cable trenches, and foundations.
  • •Review, interpret, and create civil design drawings and technical documents, resolve discrepancies, and provide practical solutions.
  • •Manage site surveys (including geotechnical and ground/LIDAR) to support transmission line routes and substation layouts.
  • •Provide technical support and leadership: review construction methodologies/work plans, mitigate site issues, coordinate interfaces, and support commissioning and handover.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Professional Engineering license (P.E.).
  • •Proven experience with site grading, drainage, roads, earthworks, and substation layout development plus transmission access/alignment.
  • •Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation for civil design and detailing.
  • •Understanding of substation site planning, transmission/substation access requirements, and integration with electrical layouts.
