Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead on bridge maintenance designs, including scheme investigations, feasibility studies, detailed design, tender input, site inspections and construction supervision
  • •Inspect structures to DMRB and the Inspection Manual for Highway Structures
  • •Provide technical input to agreement of project briefs, proposals and deliverables with Project Managers
  • •Carry out the checking, certifying (AIPs) and authorising for issue designs, documents and reports
  • •Manage the delivery of technical outputs of project teams and collaborate with other disciplines including the Client team

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • •Full Member of a relevant professional body, CEng or IEng, or evidence to demonstrate an advanced application for future submission
  • •Experience working as a Structural Engineer with a focus on bridges and other highways structures
  • •Evidence of independently delivering complex projects
  • •Commitment to working collaboratively and driving innovation
