Job Summary

Lead the development and launch of a new station analytics service for NPR member stations. Build audience insights programming, deliver network-wide trend analysis through webinars and newsletters, and serve as a consultative partner to station teams. Own analytics service operations, including compliance of data collection, troubleshooting tracking implementations, and creating guides and training materials. Use Google Analytics– and SQL-based analysis to contextualize insights and identify emerging audience trends.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and own the station-facing insights service, developing expertise on station audiences and analytics needs.
•Conduct monthly webinars and create/manage monthly newsletters to share network-wide trends and emerging audience insights.
•Learn and use NPR analytics software products and services, including data tracking of station platforms, datasets, and dashboards.
•Oversee compliance of data collection processes and troubleshoot tracking implementation with stations to ensure data consistency.
•Serve as a station ambassador by communicating with NPR staff on station needs and creating/updating guides, documentation, and training materials.

Key Requirements

•3+ years of experience in website/app analytics or other audience behavioral data.
•1+ years providing direct support to customers, clients, or external stakeholders with consultative partnership skills.
•Proven expertise in Google Analytics (or similar) and advanced SQL (including window functions, complex joins, and query optimization).
•Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation, visualization) for reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
•Experience training non-technical audiences to make analytics actionable, with strong communication skills for explaining complex quantitative information.
