Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure, including substation, collection, and transmission systems.
  • •Read schematics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems involving variable pitch and variable speed control systems.
  • •Perform mechanical and electrical repair or replacement work following manufacturer requirements.
  • •Comply with environmental health and safety programs and perform preventive maintenance per OEM maintenance manuals.
  • •Collect data, prepare reports, complete QA/QC functions, and support retrofits/modifications and commissioning walk-downs as applicable.

Key Requirements

  • •One year of college/technical school, or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training, or equivalent education/experience; High School Diploma or GED.
  • •Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment (e.g., voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, infrared testers, hydraulic torque, alignment tools).
  • •Advanced computer skills for reporting and troubleshooting tools (word processing, spreadsheets, email, facility control/management systems).
  • •Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters daily and lift up to 60 pounds frequently (occasionally up to 100 pounds).
  • •Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to work with electrical wires and follow instructions in written/oral/diagram/schedule form.
