Key Responsibilities

  • •Complete day-to-day reliability testing in the Reliability Lab to ensure performance and warranty commitments.
  • •Safely load and operate standard reliability stress test equipment and perform baseline and post-test measurements.
  • •Process warranty returns and complete reliability testing data entry and scheduling needs.
  • •Communicate abnormal product or equipment findings immediately and suggest root cause/action plans for incorrect tests.
  • •Assist with supplier qualifications, reliability monitoring, test/equipment development, and train new technicians in module testing and measurements.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s in a technical discipline (Electrical preferred) or an Associate’s degree (Electrical preferred), OR a High School Diploma with 3+ years in a manufacturing or lab environment.
  • •High School Diploma with at least 1 year working in the First Solar lab environment as a contractor.
  • •Calibration/testing/measurement experience is an added advantage.
  • •Basic ability using tools and operating equipment; ability to learn simulator operation.
  • •Ability to analyze test data against a control plan/OCAP steps and troubleshoot when equipment or tests fault.
