Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide on-call engineering support for teams operating and maintaining fielded AUVs on a rotating roster, including outside business hours.
  • •Assess issues from logs, telemetry, configuration, and maintenance history; bind failures to subsystems and failure modes; define workarounds to restore capability.
  • •Plan and lead root cause investigations and determine whether issues are systemic or isolated, and whether they were induced by design, production, maintenance, or operations.
  • •Chair Material Review Board dispositions and manage fleet-wide system limitations, including degraded operations decisions.
  • •Turn fleet data into engineering recommendations and requirements, and drive changes through design teams; build monitoring/alerting and publish service bulletins and related documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of professional experience in software, electrical, mechanical, mechatronic, or systems engineering on complex systems.
  • •Ability to independently root cause difficult, ambiguous faults from limited or conflicting data.
  • •Hands-on experience with real hardware in an operational, field, integration and test, production, or maintenance environment.
  • •Sound engineering judgment under time pressure, including assessing the acceptability of degraded operation.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance.
