Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate the hospital case management process and ensure accurate, timeous clinical information is provided to all role players.
  • •Minimise financial risk by effectively managing patient stay.
  • •Ensure compliance with case management procedures, contracts, and legal aspects using available resources and systems.
  • •Ensure correct and timeous finalisation of cases to facilitate reimbursements from funders and communicate consistently with funders as contractually agreed.
  • •Ensure clinical coding standards are adhered to (Level 3 coding guideline) and lead/manage the Case Management team if applicable.

Key Requirements

  • •Clinical qualification (essential).
  • •Registered Nurse / Professional Nurse or qualified Paramedic (desired).
  • •Minimum of 3 years in a clinical role (essential).
  • •Experience in Theatre and/or ICU; medical aid background; and/or private healthcare environment, or ILS/ALS Paramedic experience (desired).
  • •Knowledge of clinical coding standards and patient administration processes, including patient confidentiality and relevant statutes.
