Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply high-level structural engineering techniques across concept, preliminary, final design, procurement, and construction phases.
  • •Perform structural engineering research and observations of site conditions to determine code and standards conformance.
  • •Develop and supervise construction drawings, calculation packages, and specifications, coordinating with owners and other disciplines.
  • •Oversee and monitor cross-functional engineering teams and manage project execution across multiple concurrent projects, including budgets and compliance documentation.
  • •Coordinate, review, and issue building design plans and prepare technical reports, presentations, and interpretive visuals for complex findings and recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • •California Structural Engineer (SE) License or ability to obtain an SE license within one year.
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in structural design, detailing renovation and/or seismic strengthening of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood/mass timber buildings.
  • •Proficiency in lateral force-resisting system design and detailing with the California Building Code and/or the International Building Code.
  • •Proficiency in structural engineering principles and project work including building structural planning, design, and construction administration; strong technical writing and analytical skills.
