Key Responsibilities

  • •Create integrated and certified engineering repair solutions for airlines and internal customers within time scales.
  • •Perform stress/strength analyses to confirm structural integrity requirements, including structural sizing/documentation and certification documents.
  • •Perform durability and damage tolerance analyses, including detail part sizing, trade study analysis, weight reduction efforts, and certification activity.
  • •Liaise with Design, Fatigue, and other Airbus departments to develop optimal design solutions for airline customers.
  • •Plan, monitor, and execute repair engineering tasks to meet customer time scales; provide clear responses to routine repair queries.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with strong emphasis on structural design/analysis and mechanics of materials.
  • •0 - 6 years analysis experience in airframe design/repair programs.
  • •In-depth knowledge of classical and numerical (Finite Element) stress analysis methods.
  • •Exposure to airframe design and stress analysis, including composites; MRB; FAR/JAR/CS/Part 21; Certification; CATIA, NASTRAN, PATRAN and HYPERWORKS (desired).
  • •Authorized to work in the US without current or future need of visa sponsorship/work authorization; communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
