Job Summary

Lead compliance for a Non-Bank EMI in the Philippines, serving as the entity’s designated MLRO to review, confirm, and approve STR filings submitted via the Investigations team. Key Responsibilities

•Support the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure the EMI complies with applicable laws, regulations, and supervisory expectations from BSP, AMLC, SEC, and other authorities.
•Develop, implement, and maintain the entity’s compliance program, including the MTPP / AML/CFT program, training, and compliance-awareness initiatives.
•Oversee regulatory reporting and serve as a working-level point of contact for BSP/AMLC for examinations, RFIs, supervisory letters, and remediation commitments.
•Act as the bridge between Philippines compliance and regional/global compliance teams, translating local regulatory requirements into actionable guidance and reviewing regional policy fit.
•Serve as the designated MLRO: review and confirm STR filings prepared by the Investigations team, authorize submissions via GoAML / goTRACS, and maintain an audit trail for filing decisions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
•5+ years of regulatory and AML/CFT compliance experience with substantive time in digital payments or financial services in the Philippines.
•Experience dealing with BSP and/or AMLC, including RFIs and participating in examinations.
•Strong understanding of Philippine financial regulations (BSP/AMLC) and AML/CFT requirements applicable to EMIs.
•Experience conducting regulatory risk assessments (IRA/EWRA) and developing compliance policies and procedures.
