Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide expert technical guidance and supervision for quality assurance and material control for highway construction projects.
  • •Develop, review, and monitor QA/QC procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality management systems.
  • •Review and approve material sources, material specifications, mix designs, method statements, and quality control procedures submitted by the contractor.
  • •Supervise and monitor laboratory and field testing of construction materials, including soil, aggregates, cement, concrete, bituminous materials, and other highway materials.
  • •Ensure compliance with MoRTH/NHAI specifications, IRC codes, BIS standards, and contractual requirements; monitor quality through inspections/testing/sampling and advise corrective and preventive measures for non-conformities.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • •At least 10 years of experience handling highway projects.
  • •At least 5 years as a Senior Quality/Material Expert (or similar) in construction/construction supervision/major highway projects.
  • •Senior Quality/Material Expert (or similar) experience on at least 2 similar highway projects (each with length 40% of the project length or more).
  • •Medical certificate of fitness as per Appendix-B-1 (if age is more than 60 years).
