Key Responsibilities

  • •Work within the framework set by the assigned teacher and Head of Inclusion/SENCO, supporting lesson roles and providing feedback to the named student and colleagues.
  • •Supervise and facilitate individual support for named students, including alignment to IEP/pupil passport targets and ensuring safety and access to learning activities.
  • •Provide informal feedback to named students on progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.
  • •Record and share concerns, positive feedback, and relevant welfare and achievement information with teachers, colleagues, and supporting professionals.
  • •Communicate with parents via emails and reports based on IEP/pupil passport targets and outcomes; maintain required documentation and contribute to children’s wellbeing.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum High School education in English and Maths.
  • •Experience or aptitude working with students with special educational needs; previous teaching or teaching assistant experience is preferred.
  • •Good levels of written and spoken English.
  • •Enthusiasm, commitment, and aptitude for working with students.
  • •Good team player with confidentiality and empathy.
