Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule along required routes, obeying all traffic laws.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas; follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted; unload empty skids and return equipment.
  • •Maintain delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine vehicle checks, reporting maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or appropriate chauffeur’s license for the vehicle weight.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal/state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, travel frequently, and remain focused in a busy environment.
