Job Summary

Support PMCM delivery of heavy civil projects in Southern Nevada by supervising inspection staff and performing inspections across moderate to increased complexity. Collect and analyze field and engineering data from plans, drawings, schematics, and sampling, verify load calculations and contract plan/spec interpretation, and monitor phasing for quality control and compliance. Produce written reports with technical documentation, attend pre-construction meetings, and provide guidance to entry-level inspectors.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Construction Manager in delivery of heavy civil projects in Southern Nevada.
•Supervise inspection staff and perform inspections to ensure conformance with rules, standards, codes, and permits.
•Collect, compile, and analyze construction-site and plan/design data; verify load calculations and resolve differences in plan/spec interpretation.
•Monitor project phasing and contractor work to support quality control and contract compliance, documenting progress and issues.
•Write technical reports and provide guidance/training to entry-level inspection staff, including attending pre-construction meetings and coordinating inspection activities.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma.
•Minimum 7 years of relevant post-education experience with prior construction inspection experience.
•Familiarity with CCPW and NDOT specifications and construction requirements.
•Advanced knowledge of construction inspection principles and relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping.
•Ability to perform technical computations and inspections, and must pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening with a valid state driver’s license.
