Job Summary

Maintain and repair production equipment to keep plant operations running efficiently and safely. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, dismantle faulty machinery, and restore parts to full functionality. Support production and quality teams with troubleshooting and repairs, and assist with facility maintenance to maintain a clean, safe, organized environment. Follow LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Key Responsibilities

•Complete scheduled daily preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to keep production lines running and minimize downtime.
•Set up, visually inspect, and test machinery; diagnose unusual sounds or malfunctions with supervisors; replace/repair faulty parts.
•Clean, lubricate, and maintain machinery components such as bearings, gears, and shafts to prevent wear and tear.
•Assist production and quality teams with troubleshooting and repairs as needed, and take on additional duties to avoid delays.
•Help repair and maintain the physical structure of the plant and support overall plant maintenance for a clean, safe, organized environment.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED plus 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing; or 4 years direct experience in industrial mechanical maintenance/food manufacturing maintenance.
•Vocational diploma, technical diploma, or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).
•Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with team personnel and outside contractors.
•Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
•Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and to read/execute work orders, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.
