Job Summary

Join WSP’s Site Supervision team in Gloucester overseeing highways construction for Gloucestershire County Council. Based in the client’s office with site and site-office work, you’ll verify works against design and specification, manage safety, and collaborate with NEC Project Managers on defects and early warnings for major infrastructure projects like the Gloucestershire Cycle Spine and M5 Junction 10.

Key Responsibilities

•Discharge the duties of Site Supervisor under the NEC Contract and ensure work is delivered in accordance with design and specification.
•Verify construction activities on site and in site offices, ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements.
•Collaborate with NEC Project Manager to notify Defects, raise Early Warnings and Compensation Events as needed.
•Work as part of the Gloucestershire GCC contract team, split between Shire Hall, Gloucester and on construction sites.
•Communicate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues to keep all parties informed on progress and issues.

Key Requirements

•Good knowledge of highways construction methodology, gained through site operative experience or from a designer background.
•Strong health and safety standards and ability to communicate relevant regulations to others on site.
•Keen eye for detail and ability to work accurately to verify construction work delivered as designed and meets specifications.
•Confident communicator with the ability to convey points of view to varied audiences and keep stakeholders informed.
•Familiarity with NEC Construction Contracts is advantageous but not essential.
