Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver cloud development activities with relevant stakeholders and technical resources to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of systems and infrastructure.
  • •Maintain and develop Infrastructure as Code across a range of systems and automate deployments and self-service capabilities.
  • •Support Java applications running in a Linux environment, perform performance tuning, and address complex escalations.
  • •Work with cloud-native tools to monitor metrics and health/utilisation of cloud services and implement operational improvements.
  • •Mentor and coach engineers, contribute to complex design work, and write reports, proposals, and maintain project documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstrated practical experience and understanding of cloud implementations in protected Microsoft Azure environments.
  • •ElasticSearch experience and the ability to troubleshoot Java applications in a Linux environment (or Java development experience).
  • •Experience using scripting languages such as PowerShell and creating/maintaining automated deployments.
  • •Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (preferably Ansible and ARM).
  • •Ability to work full time from client premises in Canberra.
