Job Summary

Advise MongoDB’s largest customers by troubleshooting complex database issues across architecture, performance, recovery, and security. Work in the Infrastructure Technical Services team on automation, backup, security, and mission-critical deployments, with specializations including Search, Vector Search, and event-driven workloads. Partner with product and development teams on customer needs, build internal support tools and AI-assisted diagnostics, and share knowledge through documentation, training, and workshops.

Key Responsibilities

•Advise customers and resolve complex MongoDB problems across architecture, performance, recovery, and security.
•Provide expert support for running MongoDB at scale using standard methodologies and holistic troubleshooting from application to storage.
•Develop and contribute to internal support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics, including AI-assisted diagnostics.
•Document solutions in the knowledge platform and write knowledge base articles to improve customer and team efficiency.
•Deliver training/workshops and mentor new team members; collaborate with product and development teams to advocate for customer needs.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of proven experience in technical roles, with a strong ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
•Systems engineering experience including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, security, networking, clusters, and troubleshooting.
•Working knowledge of Kubernetes concepts such as containers, namespaces, custom resources, and multi-cluster deployments.
•Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS) and storage engineering (NAS, SAN, SSD, multi-pathing, caching).
•Ability to read code and basic scripting in one or more languages: Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript (node.js), Go, etc.
