Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive, store, and issue hand tools, replacement tools, shop supplies, and equipment.
  • •Maintain records of tools issued to and returned by workers, and notify supervision as required.
  • •Search for lost or misplaced tools; prepare inventory and requisitions as needed.
  • •Visually inspect tools for wear/defects, order replacements, and attach identification tags/engrave identifying information.
  • •Handle and dispose of hazardous materials; maintain technical order files, calibrated tooling/shop stock, and hazardous waste areas while following housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness, and safety rules.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years of professional experience working in an aviation or aerospace tool room environment; or 4+ years working at a launch or test site.
  • •Must be able to safely work at heights (up to 500ft), in confined spaces, and operate heavy equipment and machinery.
  • •Ability to work overtime and weekends depending on site operational needs.
  • •Must meet the ITAR eligibility requirements for U.S. person status (citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.
