Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with Tyson policies and procedures.
  • •Provide troubleshooting and repair for mechanical malfunctions, and respond to mechanical/electrical breakdowns and emergency situations.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule and complete required paperwork and reports.
  • •Lubricate equipment using various greases and oils and prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.
  • •Comply with safety programs (lockout/tagout, confined space) and perform other assigned duties, including assisting other mechanics and possible janitorial services if needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience or graduate of an Industrial Maintenance Training program (or combination of experience and education) to meet the 2-year requirement.
  • •Able to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including diagnosing and repairing without supervision.
  • •Complete preventive maintenance on schedule and follow Tyson safety programs (including lockout/tagout and confined space).
  • •Strong interpersonal and communication skills, plus the ability to understand technical mechanical concepts.
  • •Meet physical requirements (standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders; heavy lifting up to 50–70 lbs.; PPE requirements).
