Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage inventory level targets, review line of balances, align demand/supply signals and allocations, maintain product master data, and develop expertise in in-house systems and reports.
  • •Construct and execute well-thought-out supply plans to mitigate risk and ensure continuity of supply, meeting on-time delivery and quality needs.
  • •Execute material resource planning (MRP) planning messages for production parts and resolve purchase order discrepancies and invoice issues.
  • •Serve as the go-to resource for engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and NPI teams on best-value suppliers and sourcing strategies (e.g., make vs. buy, should-cost, buy complete, lead times).
  • •Drive value engineering and design-for-manufacturability reviews, mitigate sole/single-source risk, and maintain strong supplier relationships including facility visits.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) with 2+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material/production planning, operations, or supply chain management, or 6+ years in one or more of those areas.
  • •Experience working in material or production planning and master production scheduling, including material cost control.
  • •Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing/planning functions.
  • •1+ years of experience using SQL for business analysis, product management, applications/software development, or ERP systems support.
  • •Ability to pass an Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
