Key Responsibilities

  • •Define landing gear system requirements and architecture aligned with airframe design and mission requirements, including component specifications and design life-cycle management.
  • •Lead integration of the landing gear with structural components, avionics, hydraulic systems, and control systems; manage mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic interfaces and ICDs.
  • •Conduct and support system-level analyses (static loads, kinematics, dynamics, fatigue) and develop system safety assessments (FHA, FMEA, PSSA).
  • •Manage requirements traceability and compliance with aerospace/defense and airworthiness standards; prepare system design verification documentation (SDD/DDPs).
  • •Coordinate verification and validation activities, support ground and flight testing, and technically evaluate and monitor supplier design and development deliverables.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • •10+ years of aerospace systems engineering experience, including 8+ years in landing gear design and/or integration.
  • •Experience on UAV, aircraft, or rotorcraft programs with mechanical systems and/or airframe integration.
  • •Proven experience in safety-critical system design and system design life-cycle activities.
  • •Experience with requirements definition, system design, integration, verification, validation, and technical documentation, including supplier technical monitoring.
