Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, modify, and maintain tooling, fixtures, gauges, and specialized manufacturing equipment used in production.
  • •Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment and select tooling/fixtures/materials and machining methods to meet required results.
  • •Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using MasterCAM, Esprit, and G/M code and calculate machining parameters.
  • •Interpret blueprints, CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements; create technical drawings.
  • •Inspect finished components for compliance, verify dimensions/alignment/fit, troubleshoot dimensional issues, and support continuous improvement, training, and equipment/tooling maintenance while following safety policies.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program or equivalent Toolmaker experience.
  • •Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
  • •Demonstrated experience setting up and operating manual and CNC machining equipment, including lathes, vertical/horizontal mills, grinders, and welding equipment.
  • •Experience programming CNC machines using MasterCAM, Esprit, and G/M code, plus the ability to use precision measuring instruments and make machining adjustments.
