Key Responsibilities

  • •Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets.
  • •Negotiate price, terms, and conditions with producers and proactively manage capacity.
  • •Underwrite and evaluate Natural Catastrophe Accumulation, including catastrophe modeling interpretation where relevant.
  • •Underwrite in line with LoB governance and underwriting authorities, ensuring contract certainty at inception.
  • •Maintain policy documentation and support completion of policy administration and credit control processes.

Key Requirements

  • •5–7 years of significant experience underwriting profitable business in the relevant Line of Business with specialized sub-LoB expertise.
  • •Recognized relationships with brokers at peer level and established within the market.
  • •Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks and how underwriting works in a complex global matrix organization.
  • •Advanced risk assessment and management, including evaluating natural hazards relevant to the Line of Business.
  • •Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Economics, Finance, Insurance Management, or Business Administration) and completion of a professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII) preferred.
