Job Summary

Lead Invesco’s Enterprise Risk Management information risk and controls efforts as a second-line-of-defense expert. Partner with global stakeholders to enhance risk management policies, governance, and frameworks, define key risk indicators, and assess technology, cybersecurity, data governance, privacy, and third-party risks. Provide independent control challenges, drive research-backed recommendations, and support team leadership in evolving information risk capabilities to sustain business transformation.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee identification, assessment, and mitigation of technology, cybersecurity, data, and privacy risks, including infrastructure, cloud, AI/ML, data governance, data quality, data lineage, cyber threats, and emerging privacy regulations.
•Develop and implement an information risk and control framework to strengthen second-line defense capabilities across information security, data governance, and technology risks.
•Analyze current and emerging information security, data governance, and technology risks, and develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to monitor control adequacy, quality, and effectiveness.
•Partner with first-line data owners, data stewards, and technology teams, and collaborate with Internal Audit and Compliance to review and strengthen the control environment and provide independent second-line checks.
•Lead policy, procedures, and governance structures for risk oversight and reporting, ensuring compliance with regional regulatory requirements while providing strategic leadership to the information risk management team.

Key Requirements

•7–10 years of risk and control experience, including at least 5 years driving risk management across lines of defense in global banking/financial services or in international risk consulting with financial services experience.
•Strong understanding of technology, data governance, and cybersecurity concepts and core security principles.
•Hands-on experience defining and implementing information risk management and control frameworks with integration of data governance.
•Experience with major cybersecurity/technology/operational risk/data governance frameworks and standards including NIST CSF, ISO 27000 series, COBIT, Basel Operational Risk Principles, and cloud controls frameworks; experience assessing security solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
•Undergraduate degree required; certification in at least one of CRISC, CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CIPP is required.
