Key Responsibilities

•Act as the electrical SME across grid, solar, BESS, and data center projects, producing and owning electrical designs across the portfolio.
•Deliver detailed design for substations, transformers, switchgear, protection, and power distribution.
•Develop design packages from concept through detailed design, including single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, protection schemes, cable sizing, and earthing and bonding.
•Support grid connection works as required (export and demand), ensuring compliance with AEMO technical standards, DNSP requirements, and AS/NZS standards, and validate supporting studies.
•Support and witness testing, energisation, and commissioning; troubleshoot issues and ensure as-builts comply with approved designs.

Key Requirements

•5–10+ years of electrical engineering experience in power, utilities, renewables, or critical infrastructure, with strong preference for substantial HV experience in Australia.
•Proven ability to produce and own electrical designs, not just review others’ work.
•Strong delivery experience across utility-scale solar, BESS, or grid-connected assets in Australia.
•Deep understanding of electrical systems, substations, protection, and power distribution design (generation and demand).
•Working knowledge of Australian grid standards including AEMO technical requirements, DNSP connection standards, the National Electricity Rules, and AS/NZS electrical standards, including study interpretation.
