Key Responsibilities

  • •Improve existing formulations to meet market needs in performance and/or cost.
  • •Develop new products, including evaluating alternative raw materials for cost/performance impact.
  • •Plan and prioritize R&D projects to meet timelines, and justify changes through lab trials.
  • •Conduct lab, customer, field, and plant trials for improved and new formulations and grinding aids.
  • •Maintain lab cleanliness/equipment, follow EHS requirements, manage BOM updates, and support QC and confidentiality/confidential formulation handling.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum bachelor’s degree in science or applied science (Chemistry) plus relevant laboratory experience.
  • •3–5 years of experience in R&D focused on cementitious materials, concrete technology, or related areas.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • •Good interpersonal skills and initiative; ability to communicate well in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • •Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and willing to travel to customer/site locations as needed.
