Investigate and handle property claims within your designated authority, contacting policyholders, interviewing insureds and witnesses, inspecting damage, and preparing estimates. Determine coverage and claim value, maintain appropriate reserves, and make payment decisions or declines. Document files for closure, identify subrogation opportunities, and service an assigned territory, including possible catastrophe duty and coordination of litigated claims.
