Lead a cross-functional team building Okta’s Device Identity and Access products, spanning client-side telemetry across Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and Linux, and backend cloud services. Drive technical vision, ensure reliability and security, recruit and mentor engineers, and deliver high-impact security features in a high-visibility, globally scaled Zero Trust initiative.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of engineers, promoting collaboration, psychological safety, and operational excellence.
•Partner with Engineering Directors, Architects, and Product Management to define long-term technical vision and execute the roadmap.
•Guide architectural design, ensure system reliability and scalability, and participate in critical code reviews.
•Own recruitment, mentorship, and career development of engineers, ensuring clear progression paths.
•Facilitate agile planning, manage cross-functional dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of security features.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of experience in enterprise software development with at least 3 years in formal engineering leadership/management roles.
•Extensive background building massive-scale, multi-tenant SaaS applications (Java/Spring Boot preferred) and strong understanding of client-side development (iOS, macOS, Windows, Linux, or Android).
•Deep understanding of endpoint security concepts (TPMs, Secure Enclaves, MDM protocols, continuous risk evaluation).
•Proven ability to articulate complex technical concepts to executive leadership, influence architectural direction, and champion your team’s work.
•Experience with modern engineering practices and AI coding assistants to accelerate the PDLC while maintaining code quality and security.
