Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead electrical engineering design work on assigned projects under senior staff guidance.
  • •Collaborate with project engineer and project manager to develop electrical design schedules and budgets.
  • •Perform solar PV and BESS system design (array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections) and energy production modeling.
  • •Develop specifications, engineering calculations, and construction drawings support (one-lines, network diagrams).
  • •Support projects across the full lifecycle (feasibility through commissioning) and contribute to cost estimation and payback evaluations; present at meetings with occasional travel.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or an engineering-related discipline plus 4 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and integrating utility-scale renewable and battery storage systems.
  • •Current professional engineering license (PE) with ability to attain additional states by comity (preferred).
  • •Proficiency with industry software such as Homer, NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope (preferred).
  • •Strong familiarity with NEC and related codes such as IBC and NFPA 855, plus utility practices and standards (preferred).
