Key Responsibilities

  • •Align network sourcing strategy with global infrastructure connectivity and data center selection, securing fiber, carrier services, and interconnect capacity in the right markets.
  • •Develop and execute category strategies across dark fiber, wavelengths, carrier services, IP transit, peering, IX connectivity, and OSP services.
  • •Lead RFPs, negotiations, and contract awards with ISPs, carriers, utilities, and fiber providers, including commercial terms, SLAs, timelines, and remedies.
  • •Translate technical requirements into executable sourcing packages and support delivery planning for fiber builds, carrier turn-ups, and interconnect deployments.
  • •Establish and manage supplier KPIs, run performance reviews, drive remediation, and proactively assess market and right-of-way risks to prevent supply issues.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, network procurement, or infrastructure acquisition, owning commercial relationships and sourcing end-to-end.
  • •Hands-on fiber and carrier sourcing at scale, including structuring dark fiber IRUs, lit service agreements, IP transit contracts, and peering arrangements across multi-site environments.
  • •Background from a hyperscale, carrier, or large enterprise where network infrastructure sourcing has real financial and operational impact.
  • •Commercial and analytical depth to build TCO models, benchmark carrier pricing, and evaluate build vs. buy decisions with actionable rigor.
  • •Proficiency with network topology and planning tools such as KMZ/GIS tools and fiber management systems, plus strong executive-ready communication.
