Job Summary

Identify and enable procurement opportunities at the plant, driving cost reductions, cost avoidance, and service improvements. Partner with internal customers, the local/regional category team, and external suppliers to implement sourcing and purchasing initiatives. Source third-party services and direct materials, negotiate vendor transactions, manage supplier relationships and compliance, and provide monthly reporting on savings and key projects while ensuring safety guidelines are followed.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
•Identify and enable opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance, and service improvements at the local level.
•Source third-party services and direct materials; negotiate with vendors for cost-effective purchasing while maximizing quality and delivery times.
•Manage delivery of items to minimize risk to operations.
•Manage supplier relationships and develop criteria/processes to monitor supplier compliance at the local level; provide monthly reporting on savings and key initiatives.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, purchasing, accounting, business, or a related field (minimum 4 years).
•3+ years of experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably in an operational environment.
•Preferred CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or a suitable supply chain certification.
•Proficient written, verbal communication, and listening skills; strong negotiation ability.
•Knowledge of MS Office and ERP, plus procurement practices including tendering, data analysis, negotiation, and contracting.
