Job Summary

Support clients with business case and project finance advisory across programme lifecycles, focusing on procurement and funding strategies aligned to greener, sustainable outcomes and Net Zero targets. Assess business challenges, develop optimal solutions, apply tailored processes and tools, and communicate recommendations clearly to multi-disciplinary teams. Use commercial acumen to build and progress relationships and contribute to business generation opportunities, with occasional travel when restrictions are lifted.

Key Responsibilities

•Support clients in developing, implementing, and optimising procurement and funding strategies aligned to greener, sustainable outcomes and Net Zero targets.
•Assess business challenges, develop optimal solutions, and help implement those solutions across the programme lifecycle.
•Apply established processes, tools, and systems, tailoring them to specific circumstances and contributing to continuous improvement.
•Communicate ideas and outputs clearly to support successful adoption and realisation of business outcomes within multi-disciplined teams.
•Contribute to business generation opportunities and manage relationships with Programme Advisory senior leadership support.

Key Requirements

•Master’s or MBA qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
•Experience in project finance and/or business case development, preferably in decarbonisation and Net Zero.
•Experience working with the public sector, managing transactions/projects in a public sector delivery setting across sectors and organisations.
•Understanding of UK policy guidance and economic benefit assessment, including social value and low carbon transition.
•Experience with decarbonisation and Net Zero technologies/services such as hydrogen, electric/zero-emissions and hybrid transport infrastructure, batteries, and carbon capture storage.
