Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when needed, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver paperwork to the shipping office or appropriate staff; perform routine service checks and report maintenance issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) (or a chauffeur’s license depending on state and vehicle weight).
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations; must pass a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time and sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab.
  • •Must be able to travel frequently and maintain required personal presentation (e.g., CDL drivers may be required to be clean shaven for customer deliveries).
