Job Summary

Conduct aerodrome safety investigations by reviewing incident/accident reporting systems, coordinating with departments and stakeholders, and producing investigation reports with root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action recommendations. Maintain a database of investigations, generate monthly/annual safety analytics, and act as point of contact with BCAA and BAC under the direction of Manager Aerodrome Safety. Support risk assessments, audits, safety promotion inputs, and procedure/policy improvement suggestions.

Key Responsibilities

•Review the reporting system for recorded accident/incident occurrences and initiate safety investigations as prescribed.
•Carry out and coordinate accident/incident investigations with relevant departments, preparing reports with narrative, root cause analysis, findings, and corrective/preventive recommendations.
•Maintain a database of accident/incident investigation reports, including root causes, occurrence types, severity, and corrective actions/recommendations.
•Prepare monthly and annual analysis reports on investigations, occurrence types, corrective actions/recommendations status, and progress.
•Serve as point of contact with BCAA and BAC on investigations (under supervision), providing ongoing updates and submitting reports when requested.

Key Requirements

•University degree in aviation management, or equivalent qualification.
•ACI Safety Management Diploma (or equivalent), desirable.
•Training in Aviation Legislation and ICAO Annexes.
•Minimum 5 years of experience with special focus on aerodrome safety and relevant investigations.
•Ability to perform investigations and produce narrative, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive recommendations.
