Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of company-owned utility assets while meeting the customer’s utility and energy requirements.
  • •Supervise and direct daily activities of plant personnel, including a unionized workforce.
  • •Manage annual O&M budgets, cost-savings measures, and ensure financial goals are met.
  • •Handle site purchasing and inventory control, and manage employee time entry and work schedules.
  • •Act as onsite liaison between the company and customer; prepare weekly/monthly reports and lead continuous improvement activities.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent with at least 7 years supervisory/managerial experience in powerhouses/utility systems/chemical processes (or similar plant assets), or an associate’s degree/certificate with 5 years, or a bachelor’s degree with 3 years.
  • •Supervise and manage plant personnel, including experience supervising unionized labor.
  • •Strong utility/powerhouse systems knowledge (e.g., chillers, low pressure air compressors, air handling units, wastewater holding tanks, cooling tower, electrical distribution, heat exchangers, pumps/piping/valves, instrumentation and control systems).
  • •Direct experience with switching operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Medium Voltage Electrical Equipment.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience with CMMS; ability to independently manage work results against goals and policies.
