Key Responsibilities

•Conceive, pitch, and develop content strategy and planning for WIRED’s Business section, aligning with brand goals
•Lead and mentor a cross-continental team of editors and reporters, overseeing hiring, talent development, and performance
•Partner with audience development to review KPIs and drive data-informed improvements to strategy and output
•Manage projects end-to-end from concept to publication, including budgeting, freelancing, and collaborating with visuals and social/video teams
•Represent the brand publicly when needed and contribute to cross-platform extensions and additional projects

Key Requirements

•At least 10 years of experience as an editor in a fast paced, digital, and news-driven environment, with at least 5 years managing others
•Proven track record of leading teams that break news and cover the tech industry with extensive sourcing
•Experience overseeing multi-platform content from brainstorm to execution, balancing daily deadlines with longer-lead projects
•Ability to conceive and implement ambitious coverage around Big Tech, AI, and core areas of focus, with strong storytelling guidance for writers
•Highly collaborative leadership style with excellent communication skills and experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (fact checkers, editors, designers, video/digital teams)
