•Develop and execute advocacy strategies and drive positioning on key EU legislative files.
•Monitor legislation and legislative trends, partnering with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Strategy to proactively mitigate regulatory risks and identify opportunities.
•Draft position papers, consultation responses, and factsheets to support advocacy and internal implementation.
•Represent the company in trade associations and advance Avery Dennison’s priorities within those organizations.

Key Requirements

•Design and execute EU advocacy initiatives related to packaging circularity, food waste, and Digital Product Passport legislation and standards.
•Demonstrate a deep understanding of the EU decision-making process with a track record of engagement and influence in Brussels.
•Have 5–6 years of government affairs or public affairs experience, ideally in a corporate setting with direct responsibility for advocacy campaigns.
•Be able to analyze legislative trends and act as a strategic liaison to partner with product, compliance, and strategy teams to address regulatory risks and opportunities.
•Have work experience in the European Parliament and/or the European Commission.
