Key Responsibilities

  • •Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
  • •Remove and replace ignition systems without a custom keypad/controller, then integrate communication between the keypad and telematics systems.
  • •Handle installation scenarios from basic (power/ignition/ground) to complex wiring harness work involving CAN network access.
  • •Operate machinery as needed for testing, and identify and resolve problems by gathering/analyzing information and proposing solutions.
  • •Travel to client sites or EquipmentShare rental yards for installation cases, and represent the EquipmentShare platform/brand while in the field.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; Trade School Certificate preferred.
  • •Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools, with experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer).
  • •Experience with mobile electronics/automotive electronics and ability to work as a 12V technician.
  • •Ability to drive, maneuver in tight spaces, bend/squat, walk long distances, and lift 25+ lb.
  • •Open to travel within a 250-mile radius for up to a week at a time; pass a background check and a 10-panel drug screen.
