Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver strategic reliability inputs for Control & Instrumentation Systems, including planned preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, and failure/fault analysis across the plant.
  • •Ensure safety and quality standards during installation/maintenance by configuring and troubleshooting field bus and fiber-optic systems with minimal disruption to production.
  • •Perform fault analysis and elimination of repetitive faults to improve process control reliability and efficiency, updating recordkeeping and red-line network drawings.
  • •Execute preventive maintenance optimization (PMO), review and improve PMs, analyze performance against root-cause conclusions, and coach the execution team on standard jobs.
  • •Develop equipment strategies, criticality assessment, and defect elimination/bad-actor management plans using reliability methodologies, while supporting EH&S risk identification and incident investigation.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 6 years instrumentation experience in the mining/mineral processing industry, including 2 years post-qualifying experience in automated industrial processing plants.
  • •Minimum Grade 12/equivalent and a degree or diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics (or equivalent appropriate experience), plus Electrical/Instrumentation qualification.
  • •Ability to read instrumentation drawings and understand Profibus networking and fiber-optic networking integrated with Siemens control systems.
  • •Experience with Profibus DP/PA and Ethernet networks, with prior knowledge of variable speed drives as an advantage.
  • •Proficiency with maintenance and reliability systems such as ERP/CMMS, monitoring systems, SCADA, and OsiSoft PI (and/or databases).
