Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, install, and maintain high-voltage cable systems while ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • •Lead HV cable projects and provide technical leadership for successful delivery of multi-discipline projects.
  • •Prepare, review, and validate technical proposals and produce technical documents/calculations using CYMCAP.
  • •Support system design activities including bonding system selection, earth continuity cable and co-axial cable design, and short-circuit calculations.
  • •Coordinate with internal/external team members, assist with client interests and drivers, and support business development or pursuit activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience in the design, manufacture, and testing of HV cables for HVAC applications.
  • •Desirable experience with HVDC projects (onshore and offshore), including HV cable system design and ratings (CYMCAP).
  • •Understanding of IEC cable standards and CIGRE technical policies and related specifications/documentation, with capability to act as a cable expert.
  • •Ability to prepare, review, and validate technical proposals for Transmission & Distribution projects.
  • •Knowledge of cable modelling and design work using CYMCAP, including bonding system selection and short-circuit calculations.
