Prepare and analyze steel, alloy, and slag specimens in the quality chemical lab using instrumental methods. •Prepare steel, alloy, and slag specimens and perform instrumental analysis of samples under direction.
•Inspect test specimens against quality criteria, reject poor-quality samples, and request replacement samples as needed.
•Prepare test specimens using sample preparation equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance checks and adjustments.
•Register specimens in the electronic laboratory management system and properly identify, retain, or discard samples per SOP.
•Analyze furnace and product specimens using C/S combustion and N/O fusion instruments, review test data, and apply appropriate corrections under direction.

•Ability to operate and maintain lab equipment, use LIMS/electronic lab management systems, and communicate verbally and in writing.
