Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end design and development of molded inductor products for power conversion and advanced electronics applications.
  • •Define magnetic, electrical, mechanical, and material solutions from concept through qualification and volume production.
  • •Design, develop, prototype, test, and validate magnetic components including molded magnetic inductors.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to translate requirements into specifications (schematics and 3D CAD models) and ensure design for manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
  • •Support qualification/certification and compliance (AEC-Q or customer requirements), failure analysis, documentation, engineering change management, and product life cycle management.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, material science/engineering, or related field.
  • •7+ years of experience in magnetic component or power passive design, with hands-on experience in molded inductors or similar magnetic products.
  • •Strong understanding of magnetic circuit theory (saturation, hysteresis, core/copper losses, temperature effects, EMI).
  • •Experience with magnetic powder materials and molded magnetics processes (winding techniques, mixing, pressing, curing, finishing, online testing).
  • •Knowledge of industry standards and reliability qualification methodologies (e.g., AEC-Q200) and hands-on prototyping/testing.
